POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision near Andoversford in which a man suffered serious injuries.

The collision happened on the A436 at about 7am on Saturday, 7 April and involved a black Fiat Punto which collided with a tree.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, had to be freed from the vehicle by fire officers and was taken by ambulance to Southmead Hospital, Bristol suffering from internal injuries and broken legs.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the car before the collision occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 86 of 7 April.
