A MAN has been sentenced to nearly three-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to trying to steal a cash machine from a supermarket in Moreton-in-Marsh.
Tali Smith, from Bagworth, Leicester was arrested on Thursday 22 February in connection with the offence, which happened at the Aldi supermarket in November last year.
He appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday, 23 March, where he pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced to 40 months in prison, 20 of which may be served on licence.
DC Victoria Morrow said: "This is a good result and I hope it will act as a deterrent to others who are involved in this kind of crime."
