GLOUCESTERSHIRE police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place on St Georges Place in Cheltenham last week.
It's believed that the assault took happened near to Thai Emerald and St Matthews Church at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, March 14.
A 34-year-old man was punched in the face resulting in him losing a tooth and suffering a cut to the inside of his lower lip as well as bruising to the mouth and nose.
It's believed that members of the public tried to intervene and we would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.
A 35-year-old man from Totnes was arrested on suspicion of ABH and has been released under investigation.
