FOR the second year, The Emergency Services Show will return to Cotswold Airport in Kemble on Sunday, September 16 with displays, demonstrations and a chance to meet your local emergency teams.

The Show, organised by a charitable trust, is made up of volunteers drawn mainly from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service.

Chairman of the trustees, Chris Harvey, said: “The Show was held at Cotswold Airport for the first time last year and we had a great time, despite the worst weather we’ve ever had to contend with.

"We’re delighted to be back there for 2018, and we look forward to welcoming old friends and meeting new visitors.”

He added: “Our focus is to provide a great day out, while promoting the work of the emergency services both in Wiltshire and beyond. The Show is a great opportunity for charities, community groups, businesses and others to get their messages across to a wide audience and in an informal setting."

Jo Welch, head of events and pr at Cotswold Airport, said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Emergency Services Show again this year. Our showground site worked really well as the venue for this incredible show last year, even with the awful weather conditions, so we are delighted to have been selected again this year."

The show aims to raise money for organisations that support the work of the emergency services, and donations totalling more than £150,000 have been made since the first event in 2005.
