STUDENTS at a school in Cirencester have got creative by taking part in a logo design competition.

Students of years 8 and 9 at Cirencester Deer Park School, Gaby Reeves and Phoebe King, recently got involved in supporting the Cirencester communities new annual event the ‘Cirencester Big Picnic’.

Finalists of the logo design competition submitted their designs, with their logos then digitally recreated, keeping close to the original designs and styles.

Picking a winner was a difficult decision due to the effort and creativity pupils who got involved put in, however Gaby Reeves was eventually named winner of the competition with Phoebe King runner up.

The ‘Cirencester Big Picnic’ is a community event organised by David Gardner and is being supported by the Cirencester Community Development Trust, a charity that supports local projects and events such as ‘The Phoenix Festival’.

David is keen to see this event grow and expand over the years, and to travel across the country to bring other communities together.

David sends his thanks to Jan Hilyer and T4 Taxis for donating the prizes for the competition.

The next Cirencester Big Picnic event will be held on June 24 and will take place between 11am until 6pm.
