WHAT a shame that Cirencester’s popular playcentre, Magicland, has closed.
The playcentre is treasured in the town as it has given many people cherished memories of family life and childhood.
It is also sad that children who had been enjoying the playcentre in recent years will find that they can no longer return to their favourite play area.
Walks and picnics in the park are not always possible in a country like England, where good weather is hard to come by. So playcentres become an important place for children to enjoy themselves and be active.
Now, however, parents in Cirencester will have nowhere to take their children during cold or bad weather unless they are willing to travel to nearby towns or cities like Swindon, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
