- Stroud District Council's development control committee decide whether to give the green light to plans to build a new Lidl supermarket, along with 130 new homes, on a site in Dudbridge.
- The plans, which would involve the demolition of the old Redler factory buildings, had been recommended for refusal by council officers in a report put before members at the
- meeting.
- Historic England’s concerns about the loss of some historically interesting buildings was cited in the report as the main reason for recommendation for refusal.
- Martin Large, who owns the site, believes that regenerating the plot would lead to further improvements around the area.
