A PEDESTRIAN suffered a serious head injury when he was involved in a collision in Stroud yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the accident on Cornhill at around 2.35pm which involved a Mitsubishi Shogun and the pedestrian, a 68-year-old man, who remains in hospital.
A 43-year-old man was interviewed in connection with the collision and further enquiries are ongoing.
Officers would like to thank members of the public who helped at the scene by providing the casualty with coats and blankets to keep him warm until paramedics arrived.
Some of the coats are still at Stroud police station awaiting collection.
Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident or who saw either the car or the pedestrian prior to the collision.
