A pedestrian in his late 60s has been involved in an accident on Cornhill in Stroud this afternoon.
Following yesterday's serious accident police have responded to a report that a Mitsubishi Shogun hit someone on Cornhill, near the Nelson Street roundabout, at around 2.30pm this afternoon.
The road is currently closed while emergency services tend to the casualty, preliminary police reports state that the man has suffered suspected leg and facial injuries.
A witness on the scene said: "I've lived here my whole life and cars drive up and down this hill so fast.
"It's not surprising that someone has been hurt, people just need to slow down," she continued.
The driver involved in yesterday's accident which resulted in the death of an elderly male pedestrian remains in police custody.
He was arrested after failing a roadside drug test.
