A CARE home in Stroud celebrated the festive season in style with the help of some special guests.
Residents at Care UK’s Scarlet House, on Westward Road, were joined by children from the Co-operative Nursery for a Christmas party to help spread festive cheer at the home.
The pre-school children visited the home to perform a selection of Christmas tunes for residents, with residents singing some of their seasonal favourites – even the home’s budgie, Ava, joined in with the festive tunes.
Many of the children are regular visitors to the care home and enjoy taking part in different activities with residents including painting sessions and card making.
Laura Sayburn, customer relations manager at Scarlet House, was extremely pleased to be joined by the children.
“We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at Scarlet House,” said Laura.
“Everyone was delighted to be joined by children from the Co-operative Nursery for a special performance of some of the residents’ best-loved carols.”
“The residents were delighted to spend time with the children, and it was lovely to see the older generation exchanging memories with them.
“We look forward to welcoming them back in the New Year to build upon the friendships that have been made with the residents here at the home.”
