WESTONBIRT Arboretum's Enchanted Christmas is returning this year with an exciting array of beautiful light displays scattered among the trees.

This year’s attraction also has interactive features along the trail taking in high-tech projections and digital screens.

After the trail, families can visit the Christmas village where they will have the chance to meet father and mother Christmas, listen to local choirs, have a ride on the traditional carousel or enjoy a warming meal at the restaurant or merry marquee.

There will be a hot chocolate stall, a giant snow making machine and free festive crafts.

Paul Cody, head of visitor attraction at the Forestry Commission said: “This year’s Enchanted Christmas is going to be our most impressive feat yet.

"Set within the beautiful National Arboretum it really is a festive treat for all the family the walk will include annual favourites such as the Singing Tree, the Giant Smoke Ring Canon and the Leaf Keyboard with the addition of new surprises for 2017 to keep regular visitors thrilled.

“Because Enchanted Christmas proves more popular with each passing year all tickets must be pre-booked via phone or online, with timed entry for the trail itself and the rest of the evening to enjoy the festivities.

"That way everyone that comes to see us also gets to meet Father Christmas during the course of their visit.”

Families are invited to book tickets for the 45-minute illuminated trail. Entrance is by advance ticket only.

This year's Enchanted Christmas events will take place on December 1-3, 7-10 and 14-18. Some of the popular slots are sold out but tickets are still available for some time slots.
