Intel 9
Minety 0

INTEL fired in nine unanswered goals in the November rain against a Minety side who persevered right to the final whistle Adam Smith opened the scoring with a well-struck free kick from 25 yards out.

It was again the impressive Aaron Sanghera who was fouled, inside the box this time, which gave Smith the chance to dispatch his second set piece of the day.

Two quick goals followed for Alec Daley; firstly he fired home low from an Ash Piotrowski pass and then he showed great feet inside the six-yard box before coolly slotting home.

Smith completed his hat-trick before the break, avoiding two challenges and finishing well from close range.

The second half followed a similar pattern and but for a fine second second-half performance from the Minety keeper, double figures would have been secured.

Intel scored almost from the kick-off as defence quickly turned into attack and MoM Daley fired in off the inside of the near post from a really tight angle.

Intel added a really fine team goal starting at left back with Mark Allen and ending with a sublime top-corner finish by Miec Wojewodka from the D. A true goal-of-the-season contender.

More fine wing play saw Ash Stevens deservedly get on the scoresheet with a low diving header from a rebound.

And there was still time for drama at the end when an Intel goal for Wojewodka was disallowed for a Minety handball, and the ensuing penalty was dispatched by centre half Aaron Burgess.
