A SELECTION of artwork by members of Cotswold Art Club is currently on display at the Corinium Museum.

The exhibition in the Corinium Gallery presents a varied selection of original work in watercolours, oils, pastels, acrylics and mixed media, and will be open until Sunday (October 29).

The works vary in subject matter from Cotswold scenery, animals, landscapes, seascapes and a more modern approach which have all proved very popular with visitors.

All of the artwork is available to purchase and take away via the museum shop, with the exhibition, which is free to enter, open between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday and 2pm-5pm on Sunday.

Club members will also be availiable to talk to 11am-3pm, Monday to Saturday and on Sunday from 2pm until 5pm.

The Cotswold Art Club was founded in 1931 and gives support and encouragement to artists working throughout the district.

Its primary role is to provide local artists with the opportunity to exhibit and sell their works.

Based in Cheltenham it arranges an annual programme, including artist’s demonstrations, workshops, en plein air painting and exhibitions.

The club has around 80 members of mixed abilities, beginner through to professional who have a shared interest in creating art and showcasing it around the local area.
