A 56-YEAR-OLD Berkeley man who was caught drink-driving was also found to be in possession of cocaine, a court heard last week.

Gary Arthur of The Crescent, Newtown near Berkeley admitted both offences when he appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on October 18.

He was stopped in his BMW on the B4066 at Berkeley on September 30 and was found to have 40 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath with the legal limit being 35 micrograms, the court was told.

Arthur was also found in possession of 0.5g of cocaine.

He was banned from driving for 40 months, fined a total of £433 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85.
