HUNDREDS of revellers packed St Mary’s Hall on Saturday for a concert to celebrate the life of much-loved Malmesbury resident Ceri Pulvirenti.

The Dirty Smooth, featuring Ceri’s son Leo, was one of the bands that played at the concert and more than £600 was raised in support of Malmesbury charity HEALS, of which Ceri was co-general manager.

Ceri was a pillar the Malmesbury community and tributes poured in last month when the charity announced her death aged 61.

She was described as "a unique woman" with "a good heart" known around Malmesbury for running the Kit Box in Gloucester Street and was also an officer of the Malmesbury River Valley Trust.

Gavin Grant, chairman of HEALS, said: “The concert for Ceri was fantastic. What could have been a sad evening turned into a celebration of Ceri with some great music.

“Ceri was a positive person‎ who cared about people and wanted them to be happy.

“She would have loved seeing so many people enjoying themselves and been thrilled, as we are, that so much money was raised on the night to help HEALS with our work."
