October Medal
TWENTY THREE Cirencester Golf Club lady members took part in the October Medal on a beautiful autumn day last Thursday.
Jane Muncer was triumphant in Division One, returning a net 74, to finish ahead of Kate Dymoke (75) who pipped Sheila Lowbridge (75) on countback.
Division Two was won by Kathleen Burbage (77) on countback from Deirdre Waddell (77), with Liz Allen taking third with 78.
Three ladies – Val Bowley, Angela Canty and Fiona Harrington – returned twos in this competition and six new birdies were hung from the tree in the changing room.
Gatrell Goblet
ON Saturday, the Gatrell Goblet was played for by winners of certain competitions throughout the year.
The weather was not brilliant with wind and rain in the early part of their rounds hampering scoring.
Paddy Challens took the honours for the third year running with a score of net 71. She was followed home by Kate Dymoke (74) and Emma Brereton (79). Emma also posted the lowest gross score of 84.
Kate scored a two on the 18th.
