CIRENCESTER head pro Ed Goodwin missed out by just one shot in the latest Gloucestershire and Somerset PGA medal held at the North Somerset seaside course of Breane.
Goodwin shot a two-under par round of 67 to be pipped by two other Gloucestershire players, Ross Langdon (Brickhampton Court) and Russ Berry (Broadway) who hit 66s.
Goodwin, whose adventurous rounds invariably feature a mixture of birdies and bogeys, scooped the birdie and Over 40s sweeps with an eagle and three birdies in his 67.
