JASON DOYLE and Nick Morris both missed out on the semi-final in the Premiership Riders’ Championship at Belle Vue on Saturday night.

Doyle experienced a nightmare start to his evening with one point from three rides but recovered to win his final two outings, although it proved too little too late.

Meanwhile, Morris pulled off a fantastic ride to hold off Jacob Thorssell and Scott Nicholls in a breathtaking heat 20 only to miss out on countback after five riders were tied on eight points.

In the end two riders from fellow title rivals Belle Vue and Wolverhampton met in the final with Freddie Lindgren retaining the title he won in 2016.
