THOUSANDS of spectators descended on Northleach for the International Sheep Dog Trials (ISDT) last weekend at Lodge Park.
Ricky Hutchinson won the Supreme Champion title on Sunday – the first Englishman to do so in 13 years – after a gruelling three-day contest involving 60 runners from across the home nations.
The competition, the most prestigious sheep dog trials in the world, took place on what was described by Dick Roper of ISDT as a testing but beautiful course at the National Trust-owned site.
The event was hosted by the Wills family, with Anne, the Princess Royal, making an appearance on Saturday.
