A MAN is behind bars awaiting trial for allegedly stealing a woman's £20,000 caravan from Cirencester.
Karl Bergan, 46, appeared before Cheltenham magistrates on August 22 and denied stealing the Adria Adora Seine caravan belonging to Gail Billing at Bagendon, Cirencester, on August 21.
Bergan of Cricket Road, Oxford was remanded in custody until his trial at Gloucester Crown Court on September 29.
Cotswold Police tweeted about the incident: 'A caravan stolen 5am in Bagendon was recovered by @wiltspolicedogs nr Reading. Suspect in custody in Swindon for us. #BorderlessPolicing.
They added that the caravan had been fitted with a tracking device which had helped with the search, as well as asking people to think about the security of their property
