THE annual Didmarton Bluegrass Festival, which attracts both international and UK artists, will once again be setting up camp at Cotswold Airport, Kemble, and preparing to welcome visitors from far and wide.
Now in its 29th year the Festival, which runs from September 1-3 at the Ogri Motorcycle Club site at Cotswold Airport, has established itself as a firm favourite with music lovers.
This year’s line-up includes Ragged Union, The Sweet Water Warblers, Jack Lawrence with Dick Plank & Alan Ward, The Small Glories (Cara Luft & JD Edwards), Jeni Hankins and The Horsenecks from the States.
Also the very best from the UK, Hot Rock Pilgrims, Dan Walsh and John Dowling, New Essex Bluegrass Band and many more.
The main marquee will offer a varied programme of concerts, with an open stage in the OGRI Clubhouse for new or inexperienced performers.
A traders market, instrument workshops, dancing, a Sunday open gospel session, scrumpy cider and ale, food, camping and late night bonfire add to the atmosphere.
The Festival market will offer instrument and vintage clothing stalls, textiles and jewellery, small scale metal work, food, drinks and festival merchandise.
The children’s area with workshops will be returning this year with activities and a small stage.
