ORGANISERS of The Phoenix Festival, which takes place this weekend in the Abbey Grounds in Cirencester, are looking for more enthusiastic volunteers to join their award winning Festival Team.
Hundreds helped last year and the Festival is hoping that this year volunteers step forward to make sure the event is even more successful.
From help with site preparation and take down, to stewards, stage runners, litter pickers and fence patrol, there are many volunteer roles for individuals, groups and families.
Glen Moreman, volunteer event organiser, said: “We’ve had such fantastic support over the last four years from the local community and we need to constantly build on this as we can’t run the Festival without volunteers.”
Kelly Keen, assistant volunteer event organiser said: “Volunteering for the Phoenix Festival is great fun and offers the opportunity to develop skills, meet new people and to feel proud of helping to make a unique and special community event happen.
"A few hours of your time can really make a difference. So if you enjoy the Festival or haven’t yet had the chance to, could Phoenix V be your year to volunteer? We really hope so and can’t wait to meet you”.
Volunteers are needed from Wednesday right through and over the event and for site take down next Monday.
