SAVE Our Cirencester (SOC) will be manning a stall in the Market Place today (Friday, August 18) to increase awareness about their campaign against plans for 2,350 homes in Chesterton.

A special meeting of Cotswold District Council (CDC) will be held at the Baptist Church on September 26 to vote on the outline planning application.

The Park Community Group has also arranged a separate public meeting on September 5, from 7-9pm, at the Corn Hall.

Mark Pratley, SOC chairman, said: “The purpose is to increase awareness of the problems that could develop if CDC don’t either reject the Bathurst Plan, or get it greatly reduced in size.”

The stall will be running from 9-10am and then again from midday into the afternoon.
