A LAND Rover rammed the front of a supermarket in Cirencester, with intruders then attempting to remove an ATM machine.

Police were called shortly after 2.20am this morning to reports of a break in at Aldi on Cricklade Road.

Unknown offenders in an old green Defender rammed the front of the building which caused extensive damage.

Four males in dark clothing entered the store and made attempts to remove a cash machine, but no money was taken.

A silver Audi A4 estate was also spotted at the scene and fled with the Land Rover.

There is currently police tape surrounding the front doors, with a hole in one of the shutters.

Two Audis and a BMW, all black, are blocking the entrance to the car park.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should call police on 101 and quote incident 32 of August 16.
