  • OUR neighbours at Compton Abdale have their Traditional Village Fete this Saturday, July 29 at 1.30-4.15pm. Stalls include: produce, plants, white elephant, tombola, and books. Enjoy teas & ice creams, a barbecue and Gloucester Excelsior Silver Band.There is also a Fun Dog Show starting at 2.30pm. Admission is £2.50 for adults. Children and parking are free.
  • CHEDWORTH Silver Band entertained the Grenadier Guards association last Sunday playing in a barn to dodge the summer showers. Their next performance is at Stratford Park Stroud on Sunday, August 6.
  • CHEDWORTH Village Hall has the opportunity to purchase a quantity of banqueting chairs at a very advantageous price to replace their life expired ‘red’ chairs. A sample chair is available at the hall and committee members would welcome hall users’ views on suitability of the chairs prior to their August meeting.   • WORLD Jungle will be in Northleach again this summer running courses and activities for children. In Northleach there is an interactive cooking session on August 16 (£5) for 8-12 year olds and a free drop-in craft session on August 30. For older children, Youth Fest 17 will be on the KGV Playing Field on Friday August 18 from 5-7pm. Come along and learn graffiti, drumming and circus skills. More details at www.worldjungle.org.uk
