  • OUR Memorial Hall rebuilding project, along with two other projects in our region, will go forward to a vote in Tesco stores where their customers will decide the outcome by voting for their favourite project each time they shop. If you shop at Tesco’s you will know you are given a blue counter at the checkout to pop in the voting bins near the exit. Voting will take place until Thursday, August 31. The project with the highest number of votes across the region will receive up to £4,000, the second placed project up to £2,000 and the third placed project £1,000. There are three Tesco stores involved including the main Kings Meadow Store and two smaller stores: Chesterton Express  GL7 1XE, Cirencester  GL7 1NP and Cirencester GL7 1HW. Naturally it would be wonderful if as many people as possible could visit the stores and vote for our project – whilst the project is guaranteed at least £1,000 it could get as much as £4,000 if it has the highest number of votes.
  • THE Fairford Hospital League of Friends needs more volunteer drivers in the Lechlade area to help people in the community to get to their medical appointments at the GP Surgery or Hospital. Running costs for the trips made are paid. Can you help please? Everything the League of Friends does is for our local community but it can only be done if we have the funds and the volunteers to help us. If you can help please contact Val Harvey on 07776 001311 or email valharvey56@gmail.com
