A GROUP of young people who are working with the National Citizen Service (NCS), will be holding a fundraiser in the Abbey Grounds tomorrow.

The fundraiser, from 3pm to 5pm, will include a cake sale, tombola, and children's games. It is open to everyone and all donations are welcome.

For their social action project, the group of 15- and 16-year-olds chose to organise a fundraiser to raise money for the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

Bradley Lowery was just 6 years old when he lost his life to neuroblastoma, the Foundation strives to raise money for others funding the same rare condition.

Alice Wilder, a member of the NCS group said: "Due to the rarity of the neuroblastoma disease, it often goes unnoticed.

"We are all passionate about assisting those with the disease and we sincerely hope that this event and the funds it raises can help to support the great charity."

The NCS programme allows young people to give back to the community through fundraising for charities and volunteering.
