A 19-YEAR-OLD Kemble man has admitted robbing another man of £30 in cash in May – but a co-defendant has denied that he was involved.
Alexander Tudor, of Windmill Road, Kemble, pleaded guilty at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday (July 14) to robbery of Humeen Memon.
However, Cameron Lilley, 20, of Golden Farm Road, Cirencester, denied any part in the offence on May 13 this year.
Both men appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on the same day, and Lilley was told by Judge Michael Cullum that he will stand trial on December 18.
Tudor cannot be sentenced until the outcome of Lilley's trial.
Both men were granted bail.
Jason Coulter, representing Tudor, asked for a pre-sentence report as his client was now convicted of the robbery.
The judge granted this and said to Tudor: “You will get credit for your guilty plea, but your sentence will have to wait for the outcome of your co-defendant's trial.
“That could be quite some time.”
The trial of Lilley is expected to last three days.
