BESTSELLING local author Rachel Joyce was in Stroud Bookshop last Wednesday signing her new title The Music Shop.
The story centres around a specialist record store owner who is skilled in interpreting exactly what his customers need.
Rachel did a lot of her research at Stroud's own Trading Post Records, and she mounts a fond defence of independent High Street retailing.
Full of quirky characters, the book explores how to listen and how to feel, as well as giving second chances and being brave despite the odds. Ultimately, the story reminds readers of the healing power of music.
Published by Doubleday only last Thursday, the novel is available now for £14.99.
