MORE than 2,000 people joined Wiltshire-based independent brewer Box Steam last Saturday for its now annual day-long festival in its home village of Holt.

With a jubilant mix of food, entertainment, music, tug-o-war and endless supplies of beer, BoxFest proved to be another big hit.

Andy Roberts, managing director of Box Steam Brewery, said: "The day was perfect, it brings the whole community together and it's just a small way Box Steam Brewery can say thank-you to the village for the support they give us all year.

“It is a pleasure to serve beers to our neighbours."

Each year the event raises money for a local charity, with this year’s pick being the Military Wives Choir from Colerne, with members wowing the crowds.

The events team from Box Fest are out and about for the rest of the summer quenching the thirst of party-goers, including at The Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford this weekend.

Run by the Roberts family, Box Steam Brewery was established in 2004 and is one of only a few breweries with a master brewer.
