CIRENCESTER butchers Jesse Smith's was named Best Butcher of the Year at the Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards (CLA).
Last Monday night’s win is the latest in a string of awards the company has won this year since opening its new farm shop and café on Love Lane Industrial Estate.
David Hawes, owner and director, said: “The Cotswold Life Awards are very prestigious in this area and we are both honoured and surprised to win."
“It’s a real testament to the hard work of all of our staff,” he added.
This award follows the recent success at the Meat & Poultry Awards in Manchester where the butchers picked up the top accolade of the night.
The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the Cotswold calendar.
Now in its 15th year, the ceremony took place on July 3 at Cheltenham Racecourse.
