COTSWOLD Downs Syndrome Group have welcomed the support of the Big Yellow Self Storage company in helping them prepare for their annual barbecue, which takes place on July 16.

The summer BBQ is the biggest event of the group’s year and provides activities and entertainment suitable for children, such as face painting, a bouncy castle and a juggling performance as well as advice and guidance for parents.

Big Yellow Storage in Cheltenham are helping the group by giving them a place so store all the equipment needed to host the BBQ, helping to keep administrative costs as low as possible and ensuring that all money raised at the event can go toward supporting the members.

Greg King, a charity trustee at Cotswold Downs Syndrome Group, said: “We are so grateful to the Cheltenham branch for its support.

"By providing the storage unit free of charge, we can ensure our money isspent on our events and activities, which improve the lives of our members.

"Our trustees do amazing work, so it’s important our equipment is well stored and they can access it when they need it."

Neil Arnot, store manager at Big Yellow Self Storage in Cheltenham, said: “We’re always keen to offer our support to local charities.

“When we found out The Cotswold Downs Syndrome Group was struggling to store its equipment, we recognised how we could help.
