Ladies' section
SHEILA MARSH was the overall winner of the Qualifying Strokeplay event at Cirencester Golf Club on May 18 which attracted 30 contestants.
Sheila scored a net 70 to win on countback from Mary Dobson (70) with Christine Clark taking third place on 72.
Carole Richardson and Clark both had birdie twos during the competition and another lady joined them in being able to hang birdies on the changing room tree.
The following Saturday 16 ladies braved very wet weather in the May Medal. The first division was won by Jess Brown with a fantastic card of net 68. Runner-up was Sue Bremner with 69 and Emma Brereton took third with 70 and also posted the lowest gross score of 76.
Division Two was won by Kate Dymoke with 75 from Debbie Chesworth with 76.
Ali Kelly, Blanche Neal and Irena Windslow all scored twos during their rounds and another 10 birdies were hung on the tree.
