  • NEARLY three years ago some of our young people of Tetbury received an invitation to attend a festival at Chetillon-sur-Indre along with 20 other countries. This was funded by the European Funding and opened the door for more exchanges within the EU.

On Friday, May 26 Tetbury are delighted to be welcoming the Mayor, his wife, Deputy Mayor and partner plus 25 children from Chetillon-sur-Indre for a long weekend of games, fun and sightseeing. There is a French team hoping to compete at Woolsack Day. The children will be joined by some of our children camping out over the weekend.

There will be a formal meeting on the Saturday morning as required by the European Funding followed by an afternoon of Sports and finally an evening Disco which will be open to everyone.

On the Sunday the children are going to have fun and games at South Cerney taking part in several water activities along with some of the children of Tetbury.

Monday will be spent enjoying the various sights and delights of the Woolsack Event and on Tuesday morning we will bid farewell to them.
