A WEALTH management business, based in Cirencester, is celebrating after being recognised as one of the best workplaces in the South of England and South Wales at the annual British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards.
St James’s Place Phase II (SJP II) was named the winner of the Best Corporate Workplace at a ceremony held earlier this month in the At-Bristol Science Centre.
The BCO awards programme recognises the highest quality developments and sets the standard for excellence in the regional and national office sector.
Entries were judged on a range of different criteria including occupant wellbeing, sustainability, flexibility, architectural skill and flair, and above all their effectiveness as a workplace.
SJP II was designed as an extension to the company’s existing headquarters in Cirencester to meet the expansion requirements of the nationwide firm, which required the new accommodation for an additional 450 employees.
Phase II was completed in October 2016 by developers Citygrove.
Richard Kauntze, chief executive of the BCO, said: “St. James’s Place Wealth Management have worked closely with developer Citygrove to design an elegant and efficient office that compliments their existing office on the site, creating an attractive campus environment.
“Alongside the other buildings recognised at this year’s awards, SJP II sets a standard of quality for future projects in the region and around the UK.”
