DAN DEMKIV, the one Cirencester Town squad member known not to be returning to the Corinium Stadium next season, was sent off when playing for Melksham Town on Monday night.
After making a substitute appearance in the final Cirencester Town game at Kings Langley on April 22 which saw the side relegated from the Southern Premier, Demkiv turned out for his former club Melksham seven days later.
And he scored the fourth goal in the Western League Premier Division side's 5-1 demolition of Wells City which brought their 2016/17 league season to a conclusion with a third -place finish.
Two days later he again started for Melksham as they won 1-0 at Gillingham Town in the semi-final of the Les Phillips Cup, but Demkiv was sent off for two yellow cards late in the game, putting his cup final appearance in some doubt.
