THE Stroud Vintage Transport & Engine Club will be staging their annual show at South Cerney Airfield in August.

The Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza, from August 4 to 6, is one of the biggest steam, vintage and countryside events in the UK and attracts thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the county.

It raises thousands of pounds for national and regional charities each year.

This year, the event will not only put a show on at ground level but in the air as well, with the Battle of Britain memorial fly-by on the Saturday and Sunday.

On the ground the popular Steam Arena, will include non-stop steam demonstrations, and the opportunity to drive a steam engine.

The Main Arena features parades and commentary of the vintage vehicles.

The Countryside Arena will feature the annual dog show, ferret racing, rare breeds, alpacas, shire horses, horse logging, falconry displays and children’s pony rides.

2017 is the 150th Anniversary of RA Lister and Company and the show organisers would like as many RA Lister vehicles at the showground to mark this amazing 150 year history of vehicle production.

So if you have a RA Lister vehicle and would like to attend, get in touch with organisers to have it included as part of the featured display.

The motorcycle section will feature more than 200 entries, representing manufacturers including Honda, Harley Davidson, Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, and Triumph.

The classic car section will be accompanied by classic caravans.  There will be over thirty vintage caravans dating from the 1920's, to the 70’s plus homemade units and of very varied manufacturers that no longer exist.
