A MOTORIST who admitted driving with excess alcohol on two occasions - first in Cheltenham and then in Stow-on-the-Wold - has been disqualified for 22 months.

Cornel Bogeo, 33, of Manor Court, Banbury, Oxfordshire, was first stopped by police in Lower High Street, Cheltenham, on August 27 last year, town magistrates heard.

He was driving a Citroen Berlingo van at the time and was found to have 57 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

Bogeo was then stopped by police on April 16 this year, driving a Ford Fiesta van in Sheep Street, Stow-on-the-Wold.

He was found to have 46 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on that occasion.

On both occasions he admitted driving without a licence and without insurance.

Magistrates banned him for 22 months and also fined him a total of £600 and ordered him to pay £100 prosecution costs.
