THE number of theft crimes in Tetbury has doubled from 2015/16 to 2016/17.
There were 63 incidents of theft between April 2015 and March 2017, compared to 35 in the year before.
Incidences of violence also saw a rise, from 22 to 31.
Overall, the number of substantiated crimes increased from 112 to 147.
But the number of burglary and criminal damage incidents stayed roughly the same, and incidences of fraud decreased from 6 to 2.
