RESIDENTS in Watermoor have been left shaken after a string of anti-social behavioural incidents culminated in a man being stabbed in the face.

The violent attack left 42-yearold Paul Allen with serious facial injuries but he is said to be recovering well after his terrifying ordeal.

This sort of vicious behaviour is thankfully rare in the Cotswolds and many people have commented that it is not something they thought could happen in Cirencester.

Witnesses said that during the attack, the victim’s kitchen window was smashed, in what was the third such incident.

There is clearly a continuing dispute taking place which has now escalated to such a point that a man’s life was put in danger and local residents are now fearful for their own safety.

Bromford, the housing association that owns the victim’s property, said that they are working to resolve the ongoing issues however more must be done by the authorities to ensure others are not put at further risk.
