A 52-YEAR-OLD driver will be appearing in court after colliding with a parked car in Cricklade Street, Cirencester.
A red Vauxhall Astra collided with a Ford Fiesta parked in the street and caused damage to the car at 10.20pm on Saturday.
The driver, a man from Cirencester, left the scene but the incident was captured on CCTV and his Astra was followed by a member of the public.
Police later caught up with the offender at Waterloo who was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive.
He spent the night in custody and was charged the next day with failing to stop at a scene of an accident and failing to provide a specimen of breath.
The Cirencester man will be appearing in court on May 9.
