COTSWOLDS bus operator Pulhams Coaches will soon be launching a new Smartcard.

The card which aims to make travelling easier for bus users will launch on Monday, March 6.

Money can be loaded onto the Pulhams Smartcard either online or by topping up on the bus with cash.

Customers then board one of the Pulhams Coaches bus services and buy whatever bus fare they want.

Pulhams Coaches operates buses in Cirencester, Tetbury, Kemble, Northleach, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Moreton-in-Marsh.

The new Smartcard can be bought in advance and costs £1. They are available from Pulhams head office or from any bus driver.

Any bus fare purchased using the Smartcard will be discounted by 10 per cent.

Kathryn Pulham, finance director at Pulhams Coaches said: “This Smartcard is really all about making bus travel much easier and quicker for everyone, that includes our customers, our staff and perhaps members of the public who have never thought about travelling with us before.

"It means you don’t need to scramble for loose change to pay your bus fare anymore and you now don’t need to carry all that cash.

"The card is accepted on all our bus services so everyone can benefit from this great new initiative.”

More information is available online at pulhamscoaches.com.

Alternatively bus users can pick up a leaflet from drivers or the head office at Bourton-on-the-Water.
