THE death of a popular young mother, Hannah Wood, who was a former pupil of Cirencester Kingshill School, has left a hole in the hearts of many.
30-year-old Hannah died on February 13 when her car collided with a tree and burst into flames on the road between Avening and Tetbury, leaving behind her partner Jon Newman and four-year-old son Jamie.
Since then, two fundraising campaigns have been set up by friends for the young woman’s family, generating more than £2,000 and counting.
The funds raised will help Jon and Jamie go away for a break and do something in memory of Hannah.
It will be incredibly hard for the father and son to come to terms with their loss, but it is heartwarming to see the overwhelming amount of support the family has received.
The generosity of friends and the general public demonstrates the strength of the community and we wish Hannah’s family and friends all the best during this difficult time.
