THE investigation over a doctor's conduct at Romney House Surgery in Tetbury will soon be proceeding to the next stage.

The joint investigation between Gloucestershire's Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS England had urged those with views about the surgery to make a submission before February 14.

But the deadline had been extended so submissions will have to be received by tomorrow (Tuesday 21)

Independent investigators Capsticks will then be interviewing patients who have submitted complaints so they can submit a report to the NHS groups.

A town meeting on November 16 heard that senior doctor Katharina Nehrig was resigning over alleged bullying by another GP.

Patients behind a 880-strong campaign calling on the surgery to resolve its issues are running a second petition calling for the support of Parliament.

The petition is available at Tetbury Hardware, the Post Office, Tetbury Town Council offices and the Tourist Information Centre.

To make a submission to the investigation by the end of today, email capsticks.investigation@nhs.net.

Alternatively, send a letter to: FREEPOST NO: RTEY-EBEG-EZAT, Independent Investigation, 5220 Valiant Court, Gloucester Business Park, Brockworth, Gloucester, GL3 4FE.

Public submissions must be consistent with the investigation's terms of reference. More information here.
