CALA Homes donation provides it equipment for Oak Hill Church of England Primary School

OAK Hill Church of England Primary School in Alderton has received a boost in funding towards its IT equipment thanks to a donation from CALA Homes.

The upmarket housebuilder, which has its Alder Green development close to the school, has donated £1,000 towards the school to contribute towards purchasing new tablets for its pupils.

Tom Holdstock, head teacher at Oak Hill Church of England Primary School, said: “Computing capability is becoming more and more important in everyday life, and this contribution from CALA Homes means our children will have the opportunity to develop skills which will serve them well in adult life. We are extremely grateful to CALA Homes for their generous donation and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

Gill Sabin, sales and marketing director for CALA Homes Midlands, said: “It is our aim to create a positive legacy in the communities in which we build, and supporting local organisations is just one way in which we strive to do this. We are delighted to assist the children in Oak Hill Church of England Primary School, and hope that their new equipment will continue to have a positive impact for years to come.”

Alder Green on Willow Bank Road comprises a charming collection of two to five bedroom homes situated on the fringes of the Cotswold Village of Alderton. The development has already proved incredibly popular with house hunters, with 50 per cent of homes already snapped up since the highly successful launch in October 2016. A selection of four and five bedroom properties is now remaining, priced from £579,950 to £729,950.

Offering strong commuter links, the village is well-connected with easy access to the M5 motorway network, with nearby Ashchurch station providing train services to the employment centres of Cheltenham, Worcester and Birmingham. The development is conveniently located close to a range of amenities, including a Post office, a village store and sports facilities. Alder Green is also well-placed for a high standard of education with Oakhill Church of England Primary School nearby. There are also two secondary schools within five miles; Cleve School and Winchcombe School, which both have academy status.
