COUNTRYFILE presenter and farmer Adam Henson was on-hand this afternoon to help a sheep give birth at Cotswold Farm Park, during a visit from the Standard.
Adam, whose dad Joe opened the farm park near Cheltenham – the world’s first – in 1971, has been running things since 2015.
The park is due to re-open on Saturday after the winter, with lambing set to continue until Easter.
The Standard were invited to get in on the action, and were lucky that Mr Henson himself was onsite as a ewe was giving birth to triplets.
The popular presenter of BBC’s Countryfile was also happy to pose for some photos with some lambs born earlier this week.
They were due tomorrow but their mother, a Lleyn Cross, went into labour a little early.
The team at Cotswold Farm Park have also been working hard on some renovations to the site, which include an improved admissions area.
The scattering of temporary buildings have been replaced by a bespoke barn, housing ticket booths and improved toilet facilities.
Adam said: “We’ve got lots of new developments going on and work is still carrying out behind me.
“We open on February 11 for the 2017 season and we’re very excited to welcome all our visitors again.
“Of course, we’ve got lambing happening right up until Easter, so I hope you can join us soon.”
