INDIE band The Hoosiers and rhythm and blues band Dr Feelgood have been announced as just two of the headliners at this year’s Lechlade Music Festival.

Bursting onto the British music scene in the noughties with smash hits Goodbye Mr. A, Worried About Ray and Choices, Brit award-winning band The Hoosiers are renowned for their electric stage presence.

Formed in the 1970s Dr. Feelgood have enjoyed global success with a string of hit singles including Roxette, Back in the Night, Milk and Alcohol, Down at the Doctors, She Does it Right, Going Back Home and See You Later Alligator – which gave the group their first gold record.

The bands will headline on the festival’s Sunday (May 28) night, with further headline announcements expected joining the Saturday line-up.

The festival closes with tribute band That 80s Rock Show - in what has been described as “an 80s nostalgia filled, Flux Capacitor powered Time Machine show.”

The colourful six-piece rock band who perform classic 80s tunes were a big hit at last year’s event.

Organisers have extended the Early Bird discount until February 14 to enable fans and festival-goers to take advantage of the significant savings.

Families can expect even more free activities over the weekend, including music, dance and craft workshops and a daily children’s party with well-known characters.

The Friday night has been designated a party night with ABBA, Rolling Stones and Mod music tribute bands.

The festival takes place over the bank holiday weekend from May 26-28, with camping and glamping from Friday to Monday.

Children aged 16 and under go free and a new Young Adult ticket benefits 17 to 19 year olds.
