  • THE BACK Row Club has a film at the Village Hall at 7.30pm tomorrow evening, Friday, December 9.
  • CHEDWORTH Silver Band’s Christmas concert at Bourton-on-the-Water Royal last Saturday raised more than £700 for CLIC Sargent, the Charity for Leukaemia in Children. The concert was organised by John Finch and Northleach & District Lions Club and sponsored by the Safran Landings System (Gloucester) branch of the trade union Unite.
  • A SMALL ensemble of Chedworth Silver Band players will play carols around some pubs, etc, in Andoversford and the Churn Valley tomorrow evening and around Down Ampney on Saturday evening, December 10.
  • CHEDWORTH Cricket Club have their winter social at the Seven Tuns at 7.30pm on Saturday evening.
  • CHEDWORTH Parish Council meets this Monday, December 12, in the main hall at the Village Hall. Pre-school are expected to make a presentation regarding revised accommodation following the recent Village Hall committee meeting.
  • THE council is being asked to comment on minor diversions of some footpaths at the Hemplands. Permission to use some so-called ‘permitted paths’ at the Hemplands has been withdrawn, apparently due to dog fouling.
  • THE regular Chedworth Monday whist drive will be at Bibury Football club this Monday due to the parish council meeting using the Village Hall.

  • NORTHLEACH playgroup will be holding their Christmas fair at the Cotswold Hall on Saturday, Decmeber 10, from 10am-3pm.   • THE Advent Spiral, a celebration of light, takes place in Northleach Church on Wednesday, December 14, between 6-7pm. 
  • THE Christingle service is on Sunday, December 18 at 4pm. All are welcome to this family service where everyone is involved in lighting the Christingles.
  • THE Westwoods centre are hosting the Magic Castle, a Christmas pantomime on Thursday, December 22 at 5pm. Tickets, £5 per child and £10 per adult, are available at Fruitcakes and the Westwoods office in the mornings until 11am. Refreshments available before and after the show. No more than three children per adult please.
