A TEENAGE boy arrested last week in connection with a deliberate fire at Lechlade Memorial Hall has been released on police bail.
The 17-year-old from Swindon was arrested on Wednesday morning, but has now been bailed to return to police on January 19.
The much-loved town hall was burned down in an arson attack on May 8 and police say new evidence has come to light which resulted in the arrest of the boy, who was then held in custody for questioning.
Officers have been conducting local enquiries in the months since the incident with this the second arrest made.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on May 20 before being released on bail, with police then saying ‘no further action’ would be taken against him.
Anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to police should call 101 quoting incident 546 of May 8.
