MALMESBURY'S High Street will be filled with Christmas cheer tonight.

Shops will be open late for the popular Late Night Christmas Shopping event, setting the scene for the festive season.

Stallholders and businesses in the town will welcome visitors and residents with their unique range of Christmas gifts, free nibbles and festive drinks.

More than 30 stalls will line the streets of Malmesbury to create a traditional Christmas market feel.

There will also be an indoor craft market being held in The Hub at the town hall and the museum will be open and welcoming visitors with mince pies and other festive goodies.

The bells in St Paul’s Tower will chime from 5.30pm to welcome everyone and Father Christmas will arrive at his grotto at 6pm where the event will be officially opened by mayor Cllr Wayne Jones.
